After vacationing in Destin for more than 25 years, Bret and Jennifer made it their home in 2023. They started Salty Crook Charters to offer something Destin was missing: a safe, professional, affordable luxury sport yacht experience for small groups.
Every trip is private for up to 6 guests, so the boat never feels crowded and the day is built around your group.
Meet your crew
Capt. Bret Crook is a U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captain who served as Police and Fire Chief in Woodway, Texas. A former Baylor football player, he brings decades of professional experience and a strong focus on guest safety to every charter.
Jennifer Crook is the First Mate and onboard assistant. She's a retired Assistant Superintendent and former teacher who makes sure the boat runs smoothly and guests have a comfortable, enjoyable experience.
What we stand for
USCG-licensed captain, CPR and first-aid certified crew, and correctly sized life jackets for every guest, including kids.
